Your First Visit at Our Clinic

Dr. Johnson provides a patient-centered, one-on-one approach with his patients.  This helps to ensure that all your problems and concerns are equally addressed.

Patient History & Physical Examination

Just like all other types of healthcare providers, your visit will start with Dr. Johnson inquiring  about your health history and performing a physical examination of the areas that you are concerned about.  Some individuals have asked us before if an examination is necessary, and the answer is:  absolutely, YES!  The exam will help Dr. Johnson to know if your problem is indeed an issue he can help, or if it is a more severe or life threatening issue that needs more medical care outside what his office can provide. Treatment cannot be given without an exam.

The history and exam help us to:

1) Formulate an accurate working diagnosis,

2) Create a personalized treatment plan, and

3) Know if referrals are required to co-care your condition

Chiropractors are the primary care physician for spinal health and well-being

We make it our best effort to provide treatment on your initial visit.  The only time this is not possible is if Dr. Johnson decides your condition needs additional testing or imaging prior to providing safe treatment.  However, over 95% of the time, you will be able to receive some treatment on your first visit so that you can start your road towards feeling better.

Treatment methods that Dr. Johnson can use:

1) Chiropractic Care

2) Acupuncture

3) Myofascial Release and Active muscle release methods

4) Other therapies - heat, cold, electrical stimulation

5) Traction Therapy (Flexion Distraction)

6) Therapeutic Exercise

7) Stretching, and mobilization

8) Nutritional Therapy

Chiropractic care will be the cornerstone treatment for most health issues and pain.
